Purchasing smaller plants has many benefits. You get more plants for your money and can quickly fill a larger space. Smaller pots = smaller holes that you have to dig.

Advantages: Deer resistant

Tips: Panicum can tolerate brief periods of drought but achieves full splendor with deep waterings. This grass begins its transformation from green to red and orange in late summer. Cut back to 6″ the week after Valentines’ Day. Dead stems and leaves are easy to break and make great mulch.
